با توجه به پیشینه گسترده نیکی در صنعت ساخت‌وساز، ورود او به حوزه املاک مسیری کاملاً طبیعی بود. این تغییر به او فرصت داد تا دانش مادام‌العمر و تجربه‌های عملی خود را—که از دوران کودکی و همراهی پدرش در پروژه‌های ساختمانی آغاز شده بود—با علاقه‌اش به ایجاد روابط انسانی و رسیدگی به مشتریان تلفیق کند. او معتقد است سال‌هایی که در صنعت خدمات گذرانده، از او شنونده‌ای کم‌نظیر ساخته است؛ مهارتی که اکنون آن را نوعی قدرت ویژه می‌داند، زیرا به او امکان می‌دهد خواسته‌ها و نیازهای مشتریانش را به‌دقت شناسایی کند و آن‌ها را به یافتن محیطی ایده‌آل و متناسب با سبک زندگی‌شان پیوند دهد.

نیکی که سال‌های نخست کودکی خود را در وینِ اتریش گذرانده است، در نگاه و درک ذاتی خود از معماری، طراحی و فرهنگ، ظرافت و نگرشی جهانی دارد. بااین‌حال، از آنجا که بخش عمده زندگی‌اش را در تورنتو سپری کرده، شیفته شهر محل زندگی خود است و تنوع فرهنگی و شباهت‌های آن با شهر نیویورک را از جمله ویژگی‌های برجسته‌اش می‌داند. او به‌ویژه از این هماهنگی لذت می‌برد که چگونه آسمان‌خراش‌های مدرن و چشم‌نواز می‌توانند در کنار بناهای تاریخی ویکتوریایی—که همواره تحسینشان کرده است—به‌زیبایی هم‌زیستی داشته باشند. نیکی با گوشه‌وکنار این شهر آشنایی عمیقی دارد، اما اغلب می‌توان او را در حال گشت‌وگذار در محله‌های مختلف مرکز تورنتو یا «ایتالیای کوچک» پرجنب‌وجوش دید؛ محله‌ای که برخی از رستوران‌ها و مراکز تفریحی موردعلاقه او را در خود جای داده است.

نگاه نیکی به آینده روشن و کلان‌شهری تورنتو سرشار از خوش‌بینی است. او باور دارد که این شهر «قدرتی بزرگ در حال شکل‌گیری» است؛ شهری لبریز از استعداد، خلاقیت و فرصت. نیکی مشتاق است در کنار همکارانش در Shaheen & Company، از این فرصت‌ها در جهت منافع مشتریان ارزشمند خود بهره بگیرد.

وقتی نیکی مشغول معرفی خانه‌ها یا مذاکره برای تازه‌ترین معامله‌اش نیست، از گذراندن وقت در فضای باز لذت می‌برد؛ بسته به فصل، دوچرخه‌سواری یا اسنوبورد می‌کند، تازه‌ترین اخبار صنعت را با اشتیاق دنبال می‌کند و با برادر و همراه همیشگی‌اش یا با شاون تحریری‌ها—مربی و راهنمای او در کسب‌وکار و دوست مورداعتمادش در زندگی—به تبادل نظر و پرورش ایده‌های تازه می‌پردازد.

With an extensive background in building and hospitality, the transition to real estate was a natural one for Niki. It gave him the opportunity to leverage his lifelong, on-the-job knowledge (acquired from as far back as he can remember when he would accompany his father to development sites) and combine it with his passion for relationship building and client care. He credits his years spent in the service industry for making him the remarkable listener he is today – a skill that he now considers a superpower of sorts, as it allows him to hone in on his clients’ needs and wants and translate them into finding the perfect setting for their lifestyle.

With an early childhood spent in Vienna, Austria, Niki brings worldly sophistication and sensibilities to the table when it comes to his innate appreciation of architecture, design, and culture. Having spent much of his life in Toronto, though, he adores his adopted hometown and counts its diversity and its kinship with New York City among its many notable features. He particularly loves how sleek modern skyscrapers can coexist harmoniously alongside the historic Victorian gems that he has always admired. And while he is intricately familiar with every pocket of this city, Niki can often be found exploring the various neighbourhoods of Central Toronto, or vibrant Little Italy, which is home to some of his favourite dining and entertainment venues.

There is a lot of optimism when it comes to Niki’s view of Toronto’s bright-light-big-city future. He believes this city is a “powerhouse in the making,” one brimming with talent, creativity, and opportunities, and he looks forward to seizing them on behalf of his cherished clients and alongside his colleagues at Shaheen & Company.

When he isn’t showing houses, or negotiating his latest deal, Niki loves spending time outdoors, either cycling or snowboarding, depending on the season, devouring the latest industry news, or bouncing ideas around with his brother and lifelong collaborator, or with Shawn Tahririha, his mentor in business and trusted friend in life.
